Event Coordinator

Makayla Ruffing-Teel is a sophomore marketing major (entrepreneurship emphasis) from Idyllwild, California. As an Event Coordinator, Makayla focuses on finding speakers willing to give an overview about the topic at hand. She has also worked with the Institute of Politics team to create a new event called Taco-Bout It in which students are able to discuss their opinions with other students and faculty. She believes it is important for students to have the opportunity to learn about the politics that affect them and then have the opportunity to form opinions and discuss them with others. Through her advocacy for these events, she hopes to get more students involved in politics in the hope that they will become more engaged in the lawmaking process.
